Reservation Policy
Reservations may be made by telephone or in person at our office at 280 Poland Spring Rd. Auburn, ME 04210. Day Tours require the full payment within 5 days of tour booking. For Multi-day Tours a deposit is due for each person booked within 5 days of booking to hold your reservation. When a deposit is received you will be sent a confirmation and itinerary stating when the final payment is due (most tours demand payment within 30 days from the tour departure date). We suggest that you reserve your seat at least 60-90 days prior to departure. In most cases, deposits are fully refundable until 30 days prior to departure (see Cancellation Policy below).
Cancellation and Transfer Policy
No Exceptions will be made
All cancellations must be called in to the office and speak with a reservationist. See your Tour Itinerary for cancellation on tour including any kind of tickets. For all other tours on Multi-day and Day Tours a full refund will be issued on all cancellations or transfers received by Alpine Adventure Tours prior to the final payment date listed on the tour itinerary (most often 30 days from the tour departure date). There is a cancellation fee of 25% of the tour rate per person on all cancellations or transfers received 30-15 days from the tour date. There is a cancellation fee of 50% of the tour rate per person on all cancellations or transfers received 14-8 days from the tour date. There is a cancellation fee of 100% of the tour rate per person on all cancellations or transfers received within 7 days of the tour date. No refunds are issued within 7 days of the tour departure date.
We suggest purchasing travel insurance with Travel Insured International (1-800-243-3174) or another company of your choice. Cancellations and transfers must be made during business hours. Note: There is no charge for a name change on any motorcoach tour.
Tour Inclusions:
Day Trips: Round-trip transportation by motorcoach, sightseeing admissions and meals only as listed in the itinerary.
Multi-Day Trips: Round-trip transportation by motorcoach, sightseeing admissions, overnight accommodations, baggage handling for one piece of luggage per person (not included on some tours), and meals and attractions only as listed in the tour itinerary, and the services of a tour director (on most tours).
Not Included: Meals and attractions not specified, tips for drivers, tour guides and chambermaids, or other items of a personal nature.
Tipping: Tipping drivers, tour director and local guides is not mandatory, although it is customary and should be done individually on a voluntary basis for a job well done.
Medical Coverage: We suggest that you find out more information about your medical coverage while traveling with us in the United States, Canada or in other countries. You should contact your health insurance company to make sure you are covered and to prepare yourself for any out of pocket expenses on your trip.
Seating on Coaches: All seats will be assigned at the start of every tour on a first come, first reserved basis. Seat numbers are not guaranteed and are subject to change without notice. On Tours with 3 or more days of travelling, passengers will rotate seats as directed by the tour director.
Responsibility: Alpine Adventure Tours acts only as an agent on behalf of its tour customers in arranging hotel accommodations, transportation, sightseeing and other services. Alpine Adventure Tours is not responsible for any deficiencies on the part of hotels, restaurants, any means of transportation or any other company supplying tour inclusions and shall not be or become liable or responsible in any way for any injury, loss, damage, accident, delay, irregularity, or expense arising from strikes, war, quarantines, sickness, government restrictions or regulations from any act or omission off any individual, firm or corporation furnishing transportation, sightseeing, hotel accommodations or any service in connection therewith. Alpine Adventure Tours is also not responsible for delays, extra expenses or any other inconveniences to passengers due to weather condition or other "Acts of God". The right is reserved to cancel or alter any tour. If circumstances warrant such action due to lack of patronage, a full or equitable amount will be refunded. We reserve the right to accept, decline or remove any person as a member of a tour at anytime.
PLAN TO BE AT YOUR DEPARTURE LOCATION AT LEAST 15 MINUTES BEFORE DEPARTURE TIME. YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE AT THE LOCATION, BUT YOU ALWAYS DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK.
RAIN DATE POLICY
Alpine Adventure Tours is not responsible for delays, extra expenses or any other inconveniences caused to passengers due to weather conditions or other “Acts of God.”
In the event that a tour is in progress and the scheduled attraction is cancelled due to weather conditions or other “Acts of God,” Alpine Adventure Tours will transport the passengers to an alternate substitution as Alpine Adventure Tours sees fit and is within their ability to change in short notice. Any additional expense incurred from such changes is the responsibility of the passenger.
Should the cancelled attraction offer a “rain date ticket” it is the responsibility of the passenger to find alternate transportation and overnight accommodations (if necessary) for the rain date.

U.S./Canada Border Requirements:
U.S/Canada Border Requirements: You have to carry a proof of citizenship with you, either a valid Passport or Drivers License and Birth Certificate. Non-citizens must have a valid Passport and a valid work or visitor Visa or an Alien Card. Anyone convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol can automatically be denied admission to Canada. As of 2007 you will be required to carry a valid Passport to travel from the US to Canada.
